Our Focus

A focus on the whole horse, and the whole rider.

Rosebud Equestrian is a riding and training program based at Rosebud River Ranch, a working horse property along the Snoqualmie River. Students, boarders, and visiting riders all share the barn. Whether you're stepping into one for the first time, leasing a horse, or preparing to compete, there's a path forward here.

The lesson program is grounded in horsemanship as much as riding. Students learn to care for animals, show up consistently, work as a team, and build confidence that carries well beyond the arena. Those lessons stick.

Our Approach

More than just riding lessons.

From day one, students at Rosebud are expected to participate in the full horsemanship experience. That means grooming, tacking up, understanding horse behavior, and taking real responsibility for an animal in their care.

It's not always tidy, and it's not always easy — and that's part of the point. Students learn about the whole horse: basic care and handling, tacking up, horse behavior, and excellent riding skills. They build confidence, discipline, and responsibility, and form lifelong bonds with both the horses and their fellow riders.

Our lesson program is English — flat work, dressage, and hunter-jumping. The barn itself welcomes riders from across disciplines, so you'll see the occasional Western saddle in the tack room or out on the trails.
